ABOUT THE COMPANY

The need for a dedicated GIS recruitment capability was identified in 1989 by Alan Carnell, the founding partner of the company. It was during a meeting with Peter Paisley and Mike Hare at a small company in Watford called Doric Computer Systems (later to become ESRI UK no less!!) that he first witnessed GIS in action. Immediately he realised that this was a "Killer Technology" and that it was destined to become applicable to hundreds of different potential applications. How true this has proven to be.

From the outset the policy of the company has been to be an ethical recruiter that works with customers rather than exploiting their resources. Alan has been a member of the AGI since 1994, testimony to the company's commitment to the GeoInformation Industry.

Concurrent Appointments refuses requests to headhunt from Client companies and will never try to poach or otherwise entice employees away from these companies. The fruits of this high integrity approach to recruitment can be seen in the quality and diversity of their customer base.

Similarly, candidates are treated professionally and in the strictest of confidence. No pressure selling tactics are applied and the entire job changing process is made as "hassle-free" as this can ever be.
